Italian Sausage And Beans Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed and break into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 (35 oz) can tomatoes, drained
- 2 (16 oz) cans white beans, drained
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 3 carrots, cut into small pieces
- 3 rib celery, cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon honey or molasses
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat a frying pan and brown the sausage.
2. Remove the sausage from the pan then add in the oil, carrots, celery and onion. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Add in the honey, tomatoes, vinegar, salt and pepper. Let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
4. Transfer everything into a large casserole together with the sausage and beans.
5. Bake it for 45 minutes at 375°F (190°C).
6. Serve and enjoy!
