Italian Sausage Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- butter as needed
- 1 egg
Instructions:
1. First of all, you need to butter the frozen loaf of bread. Let it thaw for 2 hours and set it aside. Don't let it rise though.
2. Preheat the skillet and crumble in the sausages. Brown them and drain them well.
3. In a mixing bowl, add in the brown sausage, green paper, Cheddar cheese, onion and egg. Combine and mix well.
4. Now, roll out the bread dough so that it has the same length of a cookie sheet and make sure it is about 6 inches wide.
5. Spread the sausage mixture earlier evenly on the dough. Roll the dough up and tuck the ends.
6. Finally, place the loaf on a greased cookie sheet and butter its top and sides.
7. Bake it for 30 minutes at 350°F (176°C).
8. When cooled, slice it thinly before serving. Enjoy!
